Kathy Acker, CAConrad, Lucas Foletto Celinski, Hilda Hilst, Alexey Kokhanov, Angela Lieber, Atalia Shaw, Adam Sinclaire, Edward Thomasson, Ian White.
Organised in collaboration with visual artist James Richards, the fourth edition of Mint’s poetry festival, With My Dog Eyes, brings together poets, performers, and artists for an afternoon of live readings, music, choreography, and moving image.
Newly commissioned performances and assembled works unfold across two parts, with an intermission. Organised for the stage as a kind of chorus or parade of voices, With My Dog Eyes embraces both the exalted and the abject, the legible and the opaque traversing the terrains of the occult, the corporeal, and the erotic.
Poetry written at sunset or amid the chatter of wild animals; works that push back at the present moment or summon the afterlife — throughout My Dog Eyes there’s desire to make contact, to touch, to love – with all the vulnerability and unknowability that this entails.
’The dog does not name the void. He stares. And in staring, he knows more than I with all my words’’ Hilda Hilst
Curated by James Richards with Mint
During the afternoon, Nordbooks will be on site with an exclusive selection of books by the festival’s poets and artists, and Cornershop will be serving snacks and drinks throughout the event.
